This was my choice, and I'm owning it. I know the risks, but I also know the recidivism of fibroids and that the huge one growing out side my uterus can only be removed by a hysterectomy. I'm a good 10 - 15 years from menopause, that could mean who knows how many visits to the gyno to remove fibroids and polyps and in the end an eventual hysterectomy anyway. So, I'm being proactive. My choice, my decision. I'll live with the consequences. The big bad male dr. did not push me into this.

mishigas? heh... haven't heard that word in a while. I see you had one comment. While I am a man and I have no idea what you are going through ( i can only sympathize not empathize verstehe?) I have 2 very close friends who have endometriosis and have faced the unenviable decision you are facing. I am sure you have heard this before but its your decision. Don't let any outside forces try to influence what you decide is medically best for you. And once you make your decision, either way I am not an advocate either way, own it. Don't be afraid to own it. These other people don't have to live your life, you do.

But then again I am a man and what the hell do I know? I am the oppressor right? heh... right.... I just live with 4 women and have no control over anything. you've read my blog. Have faith. you'll get through this.
